Covid-19 relief Uganda
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world..” James 1:27
Given the Covid-19 crisis that has affected the whole world, the people in Kasambya village really need your help. The village suffers from extreme poverty which has been further illuminated by the Covid-19 Pandemic. These people are our mothers, our fathers, our brothers, our sisters. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ demonstrated that when he was moved by compassion he acted and showed us mercy in practical ways. Jesus fed the multitudes, healed the sick and at the height of his mercy he died for our sins. As he has loved us so we ought to love one another in practical ways as the spirit of God leads us. Our deeds of compassion may very well be the greatest attestation that indeed we are children of God. For Jesus said, "a new commandment I give to you, that you love one another just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another." (John 13:34) This is pleasing to God.
In light of this, the Lord has led us to Kasambya Village in Uganda where there is a desperate cry for help. If the Lord has put it on your heart, please help us to answer to this cry in ways that speak of the LOVE of Jesus. Through you the Lord wants to show the people in Kasambya that he has heard their cry. Please help us to meet them at their point of need so that together we can bring Glory and Honour to the name of Jesus.
To date, through our partners, we have served 40 families averaging 5-6 people per household plus we are responsible for an orphanage that is home to 140 orphans with 60 children living on site. Our resources were very limited so we selected families headed by widows who have children under their care, and also, families with a member in their household with special needs. However, this is far from enough, there are 470 more families that are counting on you and me. For $30 you can feed a family for a month. We will accept any amount and it will be directed to these families. Together we can help them get through this extremely difficult season. Please partner with us to make this possible.
Thank you so much for your GIFT OF LOVE.
