Day 7- Catch us the little foxes

Psalms 133:1

“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron's beard, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion

In God's divine concept, families are intricately designed to be havens of support, leadership, protection, and the impartation of values. The biblical guidance in the book of Ephesians (Ch. 5-6) provides a clear framework on how families should function harmoniously. According to this guidance, Jesus is the head of the body of Christ, and man is placed as the head of his family. The wife is called to submit to her husband, and children are to submit to their parents. At the core of the family unit, God requires that all things be done in unity, from a place of love and mutual respect. However, the adversary employs cunning and deceptive strategies, introducing subtle influences that may lead families away from their intended purpose.

The metaphorical call to "capture the little foxes" (Songs of Solomon, 2:15) found in the Bible urges us to be vigilant against seemingly minor issues that can undermine the well-being of our relationships. This metaphor gains significance when considering the subtle tactics the devil employs to cause disunity in families, seeking to destroy them through less obvious means like envy, miscommunication, unresolved conflicts, and the influence from the media. These tactics serve the purpose of dividing the family by  fracturing and weakening family  bonds through planting seeds of discord that grow into the weeds of strife.

As we enter into a week of prayer and fasting for our families, we seek God's wisdom in leading our homes. In this age where traditional family values are being eroded, the call to "capture the little foxes" becomes increasingly relevant. We, as children of God, are mindful not to “remove the boundary lines.” Staying true to the values prescribed in Ephesians and remaining watchful against subtle deceptions, families can fortify their bonds and fulfill their intended roles as entities of love, support, and guidance.

Join us as we delve deeper into understanding the impact of the 'little foxes' throughout this week. Together, let's explore and reflect on the subtle challenges that may pose a threat to the well-being of our relationships and families. May we gain insights and wisdom to address and overcome these seemingly minor issues that can potentially undermine the unity and harmony within our homes.

Prayer

Our Heavenly Father, we thank you for the precious gift of family. We humbly request that you take the reins of our family, guiding us into unity, love, and harmony. Grant us heightened wisdom and understanding enabling us to navigate our roles as valuable family members, enabling us to coexist in unity. May your presence continue to be the foundation of our interactions, fostering a spirit of understanding, compassion, and support among all family members. We seek your guidance in cultivating an atmosphere where love and harmony flourish, creating a haven that reflects your grace and blessings. In Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
